The Dark Matter Fail

Comments

LOL Science has been telling you about Dark Matter for so long that it's hard to accept that science is now telling you that Dark Matter was a figment of the materialist's imagination. The fear is that losing faith in one thing - namely your absolute belief in materialism - raises the spectre that you could lose faith in all things and that is scary. Fear not - adopt a certainty that any person's materialist certainty about how the universe is ordered extends from a mixture of their own fear and arrogance, and don't do it anymore.

this reminds me of other youtube channels where they go into what they think is going to happen in the next coming episode of a tv show, when that show airs and they are completly wrong, they don't acknowledge any of it

It is true that the two main theories are split into different camps and are working on problems seperately.

Einstein invented the quantum idea, but he spent the rest of his life trying to disprove it.

They think the last puzzle piece to combine the two theories is finding the graviton, a boson that communicates between matter affected by gravity. They might not find it, and the LHC may only stay on for another two years. If no new results are found, it might be defunded and shut down.

Some physicists are now open to new ideas and new explanations of the universe. Lots of what we hear again and again in these science and space specials that blow our minds were found out more than fifty years ago. Some of their explanations are outdated and misinterpreted more often than you think.

I could prove that right now by asking if you think gravity is a pulling force or a pushing force?

Those answers will differ, depending on what you heard, or what your teachers told you to make it easier to explain, or what you googled and found or what the latest documentary told you.

Also visualizations, or simulated particles in modern television are mostly up to an artist's interpretation, which more often than not shows particles as flashing lights or gravity as a flat field bending around earth, and they're all wrong most of the time.

Some of your most respected physicists don't even trust you to understand an actual simulation, so they instead present it by using terrible special effects and greenscreen themselves into multiple paths in a quantum special because that is the most entertaining way to explain it.

Of course it does give rise to a lot our science fiction. Solving the gravity mystery and producing a theory of everything would kill a large percentage of science fiction novels and movies being worked on right now. It could technically recategorize them to fantasy.

Space is counter-intuitive enough as it is, it does not really help when these "brilliant" men and women keeps giving new discoveries names like "dark matter", "dark energy", "up quark", "down quark", "strange quark" and so on and so on. They're pretty fucking terrible at it.

Great comment. Please rate the video to counterbalance Sal's misleading comments on this subject matter.

The guy in this video presented nothing but facts, including the recent scientifically peer-reviewed paper offering a model of the universe that preserves expansion without the need for dark matter or energy. This video also demonstrates the disconnect between facts acknowledged by one branch of science but not employed by another. Finally this video runs down the most recent discoveries altering our understanding of just how much matter is floating out there in the galaxy/universe. The video author also restates his interpretation of what those facts could indicate, which happens to run counter to the scientific industrial research complex. LOL Rate away after watching the video, but not after only reading Sal's deliberately misleading comments. Sal is triggered by this material for some reason, possibly because he gave up one unthinking brand of certainty for another, and the other he chose is looking pretty dented right now.

rate this video low if not at all, simply for the reason skeptoid is asking you to vote, its needy and shows weakness.

Weakness is a guy telling you not to watch the video at all and rate it according to his feelings. That's Sal, who should think twice about commenting after he's been drinking on the weekends.

I will rate this 4, because it got me thinking, but I will also post a video about this topic that I find a lot more satisfactory when it comes to explaining the universe. And I think you will like it too.

Edit:

Here's my post

And here's an extra lecture on dark matter:
