Rogan Talks To FCC Commissioner About Net Neutrality

Hah, I bet Republicans HATE her now for talking all this shit against this Republican agenda.  From what I understand from Republicans, net neutrality principles are restrictions on our freedumbs.  What's funny is that Republicans are now trying to do damage control and either say "it's no big deal" and "this isn't a Republican agenda", despite the fact that it very much is a Republican ticket.  I've also had tons of right wingers tell me that "it's the free market, if Comcast or AT&T start throttling you then go find a new ISP."  As they mentioned in this video, *I* live in an area where your choice of Internet is:  1.  AT&T  2.  Nothing.

But Rogan is a cuck fuckboy or whatever.  The term "income inequality" was used in this clip so fuck them, right?

i thought this was a bipartisan thing? the democrats are also strongly for it. i've also heard that despite political support, both republican and democrat voters are against it.

I wouldn't be surprised if there are low-impact senators in favor of net neutrality repeal, but on the whole the issue of repealing net neutrality principles lays with Republican lawmakers.  Ted Cruz, Mitch McConnell, Rand Paul, and John McCain are some of the very well known Republican names who were staunchly against net neutrality principles.  It was Obama's candidate (Tom Wheeler) who wrote out the net neutrality regulations in 2015 and it was Trump's candidate (Ajit Pai) who currently removed those net neutrality regulations.

There are some Republicans who favor net neutrality principles but on the whole the Republican party is the one fighting the fight against net neutrality and it is the Democrats who are attempting to solidify net neutrality.  Overall, voters should be in favor of net neutrality principles and regulations because it only helps them.  All of the "positives" of the removal of net neutrality is for big corporations only.

i doubt they'll block anything because that'd invite backlash. what they'll do is just make sites who don't pay so slow that people won't use them. if a site is being blocked you'll think damn my provider, if a site sorta half loads or does a lot of buffering you'll think crappy site and use another.

it's also a really insidious anti-competitive move. companies can pay for faster speeds to their viewers, but in order to get the money to pay for that you first have to be a successful business, which means you need views, so all startups are drastically hindered while established companies are favored.

50% of the country has access through only 1 ISP?

What a shithole.
