He didn't get the tree.. but I'm pretty sure he still got the 50$.
Dude, get some hearing protection for yourself and your guests.
Bubble wrap too!
I'm curious to know why you think that suggesting the use of hearing protection while shooting firearms is mockable.
It wasn't that loud.
Just because you don't feel physical pain or that you think you can "tough out" the loud noise doesn't mean you don't need hearing protection. An SKS is loud enough to cause irreversible hearing damage. Heck, even a .22 is.
Some people think they can "get used" to gunshot noise because after a while it doesn't bother them as much anymore. But the real reason for that is that their hearing acquity was permanently reduced to a point where it doesn't sound as loud to them anymore.
I've worked a job for over 13 years where exposure to gunshot sounds is frequent. I've seen many people who were in repeated situations where they were exposed to gunshot sounds without protection, either by ignorance or necessity. Almost all of them needed hearing aids or had to be spoken loud to to understand what was being said. And most of them were well below their 40's. Hearing loss is insidious and once you finally begin to notice it it's already too late.
But hey, this is only anecdotal so you don't have to trust me. Just google "gunshot noise induced hearing loss" and see the overwhelming amount of science that stands behind what I'm saying.
I shot many many guns and recently in the military they tested my hearing and it was almost perfect besides one sound in my right ear out of 30 sounds, so yeah perfect, what you can get is a ring in your ears wich i have, but that has nothing to do with hearing good or bad.
anecdotal. I have already put forward anecdotes that contradict yours. Look up the science instead.
*takes a huge dump behind your couch and then runs away before being seen*
and i have a ring in my ears without hearing loss but im only 33 so you could be right over longer termaine, termaine is that english?
No offence meant but I just smiled at your comment. Reminded me of nanny state and all... You're absolutely right about hearing (and eye) protection.
Good to see Rasputin is alive and well and living in Port Alberni.
I like banging russians. Sue me.
discharge a firearm from or cause a projectile from a firearm to pass along or across:
a) a provincial highway (this designation applies to all former primary and secondary highways),
b) a road that is paved, oiled, graded or regularly maintained, unless
- the road is held under any active disposition under the Public Lands Act or under an order under the Surface Rights Act, or
Shooting off of roads is illegal especially down a road what a bunch of hick cock suckers
Those surplus ammo are quite nasty. Goes throught a water main valve cover like nothing. Thats 1/2-3/4" of cast iron.
