Fake. All fake to bankrupt the Soviet Union. Even pictures of the landing sites in 2012 by the lunar orbiter were just fake news.

I find it more than a bit odd that they "accidentally" overwrote the telemetry data tapes for the Apollo 11 mission. I think they went there for sure, although I suspect they did or saw some classified things on the moon or related to the moon mission that they were forbidden to discuss in public.

This comment was true (the telemetry was overwritten) and the other half was highly plausible. I object to these three downvotes most vigorously - they were completely uncalled for. Now good day to you sirs!
