~270,000 people used the FB app and FB released data of ~50 million users - hooking into the "friends" of those who agreed to give their data away to the app. It's not really a partisan issue. I'm not sure Jimmy Dore understands it.

I think you missed Jimmy's point, which was that this isn't a partisan issue. Obama's campaign was explictly given access to Facebook to pull the entire social data graph for each person who used the app. Trump's team wasn't offered your unsolicited yet nevertheless acquired personal data so they went backdoor and got it from Cambridge Analytica, who got it from Facebook. This big data tactic has been standard practice for political campaigns. Here's Obama's former online media director to tell you all about it.

Oh okay, I'll check it out. I haven't watched this video yet, just saw the title & watched the first one Jimmy Dore put out on this topic where he didn't understand the issue.
I wouldn't call it a fake scandal though & painting it as a Dem v Rep issue is missing the mark. FB shares went into almost freefall for a couple of days & are down over 5% since this news broke.

Thanks Danman, but geeze it's a bit misleading for you to comment negatively on a video without having watched it - based on the title I guess? I would expect that from the Beseeched but this post now has four 1 stars from four people who didn't bother to press play.
