Between increasingly disruptive ads and more and more rules and regulations, I'm surprised another video sharing website hasn't popped up and put youtube out of business. I would love an alternative.

well they've had a monopoly for such a long time and that long time has enabled them to build up a serious amount of infrastructure, both hardware (storage) and a base of advertisers. there are competitors but those are going to need years to get anywhere near being effective competition.

LOL youtube is the prudest of these sites anyway, was only a matter of time for this to happen.
When will people learn that censorship is NOT a remedy to whatever problem they think might exist?

Now if you can expand the scope and admit that taking of other liberties from the people is NOT a remedy to whatever problem they think might exist, we would have real progress on our hands.

I am not intending to take away the "liberties of people". Licensing and registration processes are not taking away the liberty of anyone.
Rogue governmets will strip you of your guns very quickly anyway so there is no disadvantage to be had.
Masturbation aids like "bump stocks" are pretty useless in real life too so I wouldn't care whether people have them or not.

Since when is it the responsibility of Youtube to protect the profits of the gun industry?
Follow-up question: who benefits from a healthy gun industry?

There is already an alternative to Google's leftist censorship. It was created by people who knew they would eventually pull this sort of shit and start banning everything contrary to Google's leftist ideology.
https://www.full30.com/
There are also creators who have started channels on PornHub that don't actually show porn. If there is any business capable of competing with YouTube, it's PornHub. If they make an alternative non-porn video sharing site, YouTube would have actual competition. And PornHub being what it is they could gobble up a large swath of creators who are sick of the ever tightening noose YouTube has around the neck of it's creators.
I say leave YouTube to the kids and let this as yet unnamed alternative from PornHub be the place where adults can go to freely share ideas that the authoritarian left love to label "offensive" or mislabel "hate speech".

Full30 is a firearm fanboy site, not an alternative to youtube. The pornhub branch would be interesting, though.
