PINGTR1P Begs for Money

Pingtr1p needs your help!!!!

Ewwwwwwww. *sigh*

The first thing I would tell him is that it's his choice if he wants to make payments on a house if he's single (maybe he has a family, or a spouse, but I don't think so). If he was serious about a second career on YouTube he would sell the house and rent an apartment, and then focus more time on making his "PINGTR1P-Only" videos more compelling. It's not enough to just sit in front of the camera and say eccentric things without a strong hook, some kind of angle. And he could reach out to Rogan and join his network like the other Rogan clip producers. He could advertise some products at the start or end of his Rogan supercuts. He could find a new angle for his supercuts from new source material that won't be claimed. He paints it like it has to be either him sitting for videos that are way too long being eccentric, or it has to be cynical click-bait. He obviously produces his vids on the same day without gaining separation to come back and edit them properly. He gets emotional and produces videos that he uploads immediately without sleeping on it first, then gets double-emotional when there's a backlash. Freaking out about money and revealing that shit about his personal life is not a good look in my opinion.

Someone told me YouTube promotes your clips and vids more aggressively if they're monetized, so I toggled a button from off to on and it turned out they were right. Right now I average 10 times what he makes on Patreon per month, and that was a side-effect of just trying to get more eyes on Peterson and some of my newer, more involved stuff. I'm serious about Peterson but the rest is just a lucky trip really - could end at any time I know that. And it looks like I'll be able to go back to working full-time at a real job again very soon - it's been two months now since I was diagnosed finally and three weeks since the one-time treatment and the symptoms that have plagued me for 10 years have either disappeared entirely or been reduced by 80-90%.

What do you guys think of this semi-meltdown? Does he have a point or is he going off the deep end a bit here?

Show don't tell dude. If you want more money, make better content. If you are doing what you love then money doesn't matter. If you love it enough, you will FIGURE OUT a way to make your content appealing. If you can't MAKE me BELIEVE in your dream and how much you love it, then why would I support it?

He hasn't figured out how to leverage his talent, which is those supercuts, into something more lucrative partly because he's focused on being a "recognizable YouTube personality", which unfortunately isn't an area where he has demonstrated good skills. Decent, perhaps - something to be developed. But not funded. Also, he has no instinct for marketing.
