It's okay to mouth the word if you're white when you're singing a song that's performed by a black man. I have a video on my channel that uses the n-word three times but it's okay because it's from a rap song as part of a thug life video. It is one of the few words in the English language that genuinely has profoundly different meanings depending on who's saying it and why. And now that this complex understanding of the notion has become archetypical it's likely to remain that way from here on out until the day comes when we are all a light shade of brown. At which point one of the two meanings will become completely obsolete.

Still, I'm surprised to see white people enjoying hip-hop and mouthing the 'n-word' openly in the video... I thought it was still a secret that we did that. ;-)
