It is a very well made animation. But whoever wrote the narration really should do more research.

It is the only reason why the barrel tilts down. Pistol designs that do not use a Browning tilting barrel locking system feed just fine without it.

I see what you mean now. Yea, the feed ramp is what allows the round to slide easily into the breach.

Not a hand gun, no. Hand guns are few and far between in Canada, although I suppose I could go to a range.

The second pistol I ever owned was a Colt 1911 Commander model. Just a tad bit shorter barrel than the standard model. It was a blast throwing that 45 caliber hunk downrange.
