The Fallout 76 Collector's Edition cost $200, and was supposed to include a life-size BoS helmet and a West Tek canvas bag to hold it in. When customer's finally received their CE, the bag was made of nylon, not canvas. They were never informed, but the description on the site was quietly changed to reflect the difference. When a customer emailed support about it, they were told that the reason it was changed was that it was just too expensive to make and they weren't going to do anything about it.

Since this has blown up, Bethesda has apologized, and offered players a measly 500 microtransaction points in Fallout 76, which amounts to $4.99 and can only barely buy you anything at all.

so i take it you don't know that bethesda/zenimax have done and have attempted hostile takeovers of other game companies. they ask you to make a game, they refuse to pay for milestones and then buy you on the cheap when you're going bankrupt

I didn't actually. That's pretty fucked.
