Example. The police physically move you to the court. The court passes the sentence. The police then physically move you to a prison and the door is locked behind you.

Even god has no authority over man , we are all created equal.
Judges and police are “ given “ the force of law over you .... it’s a fiction you take part in when they drag you to your cell willingly or not .

You are missing the point .
Authority is something you take part in vis-a-vis fiction.
otherwise jellyfish have authority over you .
I think I know what you are getting at .... sovereignty doesn’t matter when being oppressed . I’m not arguing against that “ reality “.

But very few remain strong in spirit, and a spirit can always be broken given time and resources.
