I bet if we were run by actually competent people we could turn this around and use it to detect and track pedophiles. But we aren't run by competent people.

perhaps, but i can't imagine pedophiles going around being this obvious about it, i'd be shocked if close to 100% of the commenters weren't just stupid kids who think they're funny or nasty adults trying to provoke a reaction from parents (the same ones who make sick fb comments to parents whose kid has died), while any actual pedophiles either watch while staying out of comments to keep themselves anonymous, or are perfectly satisfied with whatever shit they can find in darker areas of the web and thus have no need of youtube.
still think your idea is great though, because at very least the trolls will have to cut it out immediately or risk being actually labelled a pedophile.

it definitely wouldn't be enough to immediately label someone as a pedophile. But it could easily tell police organization who to start looking at.

yeah but what bothers me with that is that all those police looking into youtube commenters and finding 99% are just lonely trolls then aren't instead spending that time looking into darker places on the internet with seriously sick people and children who really are in danger. we need police looking into the less visible spots, not the disgusting but ultimately harmless frat boys who think they're funny.

This only stands true if the majority of those commenters are just trolls. Which I doubt is the case.

1. was expecting something different when he said cum back video.
2. I don't like his oh so involved emotional acting.
3. If it were so easy to spot pedophiles on yt and it is "out in the open" probably authorities are on to them

i dont know man...it seems to be one of those things you have to absolutely be caught in the act to be jailed for...just look up how jimmy saville got away with it for ever..theres a big web of people involved in it apparently across all sections of society and they dont want anyone to get caught in case the whole web collapses as a result..they dont fund the police properly to detect it either..its absolute madness when you look into it..(in the uk im talking about)

I understand your point but they catch childpornrings on the dark web, yt should b easier. Also I think they take their time in order to get as many as possible and that they have way better ways of investigating than the twat in the video.

So I spent 5 minutes thinking about this.
1) Use machine learning to detect when children are the main focus of a video (any video) - lets say more than 30%.
2) These videos require all comments to be approved by the video poster.
3) Flag any accounts that post videos featuring more than 5 differnet children.
Perfect? Fuck no.
Better than now? Fuck yes
Easy to implement? Computer vision can do this already
