There are far fewer of these types than you may think there are in Canada. Canadian people are a practical and pragmatic people for the most part. A Canadian is more likely to brag about how much they saved on something and then American is more likely to brag about how much they spent on something. The influence of this kind of lunatic shit is relatively recent in Canada.

I agree. I have always felt that the middle ground is being squeezed further to either side, in the hopes of having things land more in the middle (with the exception of the nutbars). Kind of like how I sometimes vote on a video. If I think it should be a 4, but several people have voted before making it a 2, then I vote a 5 to try sway the vote farther up. So when people see some loudmouthed people further left or right of them, they move further in the opposite direction just to try to counter them. Just my thoughts....
