Matching atomic weapons produced by the Manhattan Project with V-2 ballistic missiles is a very scary thought. Hitler would have wiped out millions of people without a second thought and easily won WW2.

They made a movie about the operation to stop Hitlers nukeular project. 'Where eagles dare' I think it's called.
Spoiler alert. The good guys won.
Hitler had aquired 'heavy water'. An important part of enriching uranium into to something useful. And was transporting it via a ferry across a lake at some point (heavy water being transported in barrels) and the good guys (allies of course) managed to sneak a bomb onto said ferry, and timed it so that it would blow up an sink the ferry at the deepest point of the lake.
It worked. Bomb went off. Ferry sank. Hitler lost his precious 'heavy water'. The only downside to this op was the civilian casualties on the ferry.

The movie was actually called The Heroes Of Telemark based on the true story of the commando raid which sank a ferry carrying all of the heavy water that the nazis had.
Where Eagles Dare was great though. Richard Burton and early Clint Eastwood. A lot of twists and turns in the fictional war drama. I like the ending. It's classic.

I would have absolutely no idea other than seeing Where Eagles Dare but I read a book when I was in 7th grade called Attack On Telemark that my older brother left around which detailed the raid on the nazi heavy water project by Norweigen commandos. I didn't even realize it was true at the time.

another note is a group found the ferry not so long ago and tapped some of the intact barrels confirming that the water inside was indeed heavy water.
