Hopefully, Jesse gets what he deserves for being a drug dealing murderer who is too big of a pussy to even have the courage of his own convictions. He backstabs his only friend and supporter and causes more problems, more drama, more suffering for innocent people because he can't face up to who he is, and all over the internet you have people trying to paint him as the good one in this scenario who deserves to escape responsibility for his part. At best, he deserves to live out his twilight years as some sad sack of shit behind a Cinnabon counter, like Saul. At worst, he deserves to die in infamy like his accomplice Walt.

You do realise that this is a tv show?

Yes, and as everyone knows, that means never critically analyzing any of the characters or any of the implications of the plot. Just drool like an idiot and clap, cause "tv show or something".

I'll bite. They dealt with this in the story...
Jesse was a light drug dealer till Walt found him. Walt basically manipulated Jesse for his own gain with no consideration what this did to Jesse. And Jesse lost everything, love of his family, became a murder, responsible for the death of a child, got his girlfriends killed. He wanted out so many times but Walt kept pulling him back in.
All he wanted was to be accepted and loved.
What's interesting is that we see Hank (the good and fair side) take the contrarian view (jesse is worthless) when he doesn't care if Jesse is killed for helping him. Nobody ever cares about Jesse. This is why we are led to feel sorry for him. Top it all off with torture in the end which basically sucks the last remaining humanity out of him... until he's basically crazy. The show could've also ended with Jesse shooting himself. Actually, I believe the audience may have actually felt better for him as he would've finally had some peace.
In the end we are led to believe, given better circumstances Jesse would've turned out to be quite a good member of society.
