You are more than willing to entertain the idea of provocateurs and staged provocation orchestrated by the authority Under protest. It happened in Syria and it's even happened here in Canada. It happened in Seattle. so I'm sure that there are legitimate protesters and provocateurs engaging in all kinds of stupid shit. This is what it looks like when a population loses its sense of security. Order begins to break down into chaos and I think that all of this is going to a very bad place. You call the protesters HK antifa but I don't shift my position on the political Spectrum based on where I am geographically located in a particular point in time. There are principles that I hold dear and the Chinese communist government represents an authority that's very powerful that is committedly set against those principles. If I was in HK I would have probably gotten out by now.

I was an eyewitness to the event in the video. I can not say for sure if these people were mainland police dressed up as protesters or not. But it’s very suspicious. You see. There was a scedualed protest at the airport that night. This station is the final stop before the airport. The airport itself is located on an island with only one 2 bridges that connects to it. The police allowed the protesters to assemble. And then they closed down all escaperouts. The bridges completely filled with police. ( I saw this myself ) So no busses and no trains. There are ferries. But the riot police were waiting for the protesters at the ferry stops. They even went out to a remote island that had a stop. All the locals came out and shouted profanities at the police. The police had the perfect plan. All the “rioters” in one place with no escape. However, news of the genius trap spread quickly. Not many people in HK have private cars. But many of those who had any form of transport organised what have been known as the Hong Kong Dunkirk. They drove in mass out to the airport and collected the kids. It’s was absolutely beautiful.
So, was this an act of mindless vandalism from the protesters. Or was this organised by the police. The protesters had nothing to gain from shutting down the MTR station. The police on the other hand....
Resistance to unjust oppression is ALWAYS good to see.

Genius plan. Investing in government policies is totally a thing. Just like the Social Credit system that hasn't been launched yet. That big brain of yours must weigh a tonne.
"help with the orders on the train and at the station"
- gives a clue that the English translation is typical Chingrish.
Here's one of several posters I've taken photos of since being in China - it was at the UFC venue so I guess they're making sure there aren't any fights like what sometimes happens at these events in other countries...
I relly don't know what to make of the train announcement. I've taken a few high speed trains & subways since being here & you're lucky if there's English to announce the stops so that one is weird in a few ways. You can smoke everywhere in China, just not on public transport. In NZ I've been asked to stop smoking a fucking vape in a restaurant. In Japan you can't smoke on public streets but it's fine in cafes/bars/restaurants.
China is loose in a lot of ways. The driving is chaotic & you see some pretty crazy shit...

So are you claiming that China's Social Credit system was active in 2018?
Have some balls and make a claim. Don't talk about brainwashing when you're trying to push half-baked conspiracy theory, it's as dumb as it is ironic.
I'm on a train going from Hunan to Hebei and we didn't get 1st class tix this time :(
Anyway I heard a similar message, it was only warning of smoking & using hairspray & mentioned personal credit and followed up by saying it could mean you might not be able to get a train ticket for 180 days.
During the announcement a train official walked by me while I was smoking my vape & had the typical based Chinese look. In NZ everywhere you can't smoke you can't really vape either. Some cafes may tolerate it but I've been asked to quit it in my "free" country (in China almost all places are smoker friendly).
I don't need to read that wikipedia article. I've read the policy paper & keep reasonably up to date with what it's about. Wikipedia would be quoting a bunch of disinfo articles, there are loads of them. Guess you don't feel inclined to state whether you believe it's already in place or not, as you implied with your original single link reply. Makes me wonder why you even chimed in.
There are actually far worse things in China to worry about for libertarian ideologues other than how their Social Credit system which is basically a financial credit rating with some misdemeanor punishments thrown in. Loads of things require passport-level ID like trains & hotels. Even citizens must present their ID. There are loads of cameras on many cities, not that they bothered me, or that I even noticed them. 5 years ago London had the most cameras per person but now a few cities in China have surpassed it. Big deal. The ID checks take a bit of getting used to tho.
Edit: I just recorded the message & will upload it some time to show people how "scary" it is.

Still not seeing any evidence of tanks running people over. Those are just pics of more dead people amongst bicycles with no sign of tank tracks. If you're going for shocking graphics, try to make sure they're actually what you say they are.
Here's some pics/video you likely haven't seen because of your thorough brainwashing, showing the soldier victims of the violence... the video has been uploaded on YouTube with subtitles several times but for some strange reason gets deleted. Ever wonder why?
Soldiers were attacked on their way to Tienanmen Square, burned alive & hung up on display. This happened before shots were fired. There's another photo of the guy seen peering out of the bus & he a soldier's rifle.
FYI the video is the Chinese state's version of events & was produced decades ago. So much for denying it ever happened huh?
I think in the end they just tired of trying to explain their side after such overwhelming propaganda from the West & decided everyone should just stfu about it.
We could keep going down this rabbit hole if you like, you won't like where it goes. It was in large part one of the first CIA colour revolutions, although there's no denying that the 80's was a messy time in China (they'd just shifted from communism to their new socialism so there was a lot of greivances & dynamic politics).
What I find bizarre is that many Westerners think they know what happened and feel the need to inform Chinese about it, thinking they themselves are not subject to brainwashing. It's sad & hilarious at the same time.
