Watched the first 45 mins. Seems to just focus on the mistakes eg. the backyard steal production & the grain harvest debacles. It doesn't mention the CIA backing of the Tibetan uprising, nor any of the achievements during the period eg. Healthcare & education reform.

It is an excellent documentary and a must-watch. This is just part 2 "The Mao Years". Part 1 is "China In Revolution". Part 3 is "Born Under The Red Flag". Dinmin, you posted a bunch of "China is great" videos in a row. I pointed it out and brought up some negatives about it. I'd have no problem if someone pointed out that a bunch of my videos in a row were how great China is. I've been there. It isn't all sunshine and rainbows. I loved parts of it but there are problems. The police state, lack of free speech, and pollution to name a few. The guy who spent 10 years in China pointed out some valid arguments but I haven't been there for 10 years myself, though I've heard some disturbing things.
Personally, I disliked the insane overpopulation and the way people were just packed together. That's just me, I like things to be more open spaced. Your reaction has been bizarre. I've seen much more agressive wordplay on here and things end in a verbal handshake not "I'm gonna ban you!" comments. Everything OK?
