Several "journalists" actually fact-checked this image as if he purposely had the picture doctored to convince the world that he has given a dog a custom medal of honor.
By injecting malicious intent where there clearly was none for most rationally thinking people, they justify his continued rhetoric about "fake news", and completely missed an opportunity to criticise actual details about the operation that would question his leadership in a sincere manner that would probably stick until the election next year.
But here you are, using an even less impressive vocabulary than his own, implying a world leader should be forcefully euthanized for posting an image of a dog while simultaneously not being able contain your temptation to insult the very men and women whom have actually have provided you noteworthy criticism, by putting them in a negative light before bringing attention to what they've supposedly told you. You know, kind of like Trump does to his adversaries.

McCloughlan laughed, assured the reporters he did not take offense, and even applauded public’s recognition of the dog. “This recognized the dog is part of that team of brave people,” he explained. “They are very courageous.”
Washington Post also reached out to the person who first posted the image to confirm whether he digitally removed the original person and replaced him with a dog.
He responded: "You've got to be fucking joking. Please quote me on that."
They wrote in the article:

Yeah except the medal of honor winner was called on the phone and he told the reporter that he thought it was funny. And also stated that when a serviceman receives a medal of honor, there is an unwritten code that you realise you are receiving it on behalf of your whole unit because they are all there, all doing their job as best as possible (for the most part)..
Reported by the NY Times: “In a phone interview on Wednesday, Mr. McCloughan, 73, who had not seen the image before a reporter sent it to him, said that he interpreted it as Mr. Trump recognizing the dog’s heroism,”... “He certainly was not offended and laughed when he compared the two images.”
Oh whoops. And by the way.. your selective outrage is hilarious.. grow up.

I was out of line. The guy getting his pic replaced with a dog while being awarded the Congressional Medal Of Honor was OK with it. It's fine. Trump thanking Putin before even mentioning the soldiers AND the dog that completed the mission was fine too. It was perfect.
