The original industrial revolution was in UK in around 1750. China wasn't paying attention to things happening outside of Asia at the time. They learned that lesson the hard way. America joined the party in 1790s by stealing state secrets from the Brits & went on to become the global industrial leader by the 20th century.
China's industrial revolution happened 40 years ago & they're the global manufacturing leader & in the digital age with the rest of us. Within 20-30 years they'll take pole position in science & technology. It's a pity we don't get to live another 100 years to see how it all goes.

Those countries are considered strategic rivals of USA & my country is a strategic partner of the US. At the same time though my country has a freindly relations with China and they're our largest trading partner. US should stop looking to its WWII allies to help it hold onto the gobal hegemon status, nobody asked for it & its drunk at the wheel these days.
