I want to call but just need to know the price differential between that floating coffin & this supersonic missile... Would 100 of these cover it?

I don't think the iranians are dumb enough to attack the US in areas where they are strong (although, of course, many americans are dumb enough to think that) so it will be interesting to see out what kind of action they will take.
What the US definitely has achieved is to make the assassinated general a martyr and thus an object of worship, hence many will happily die in his name just to take a few americans with them. Well done! The pilgrimage to honour his death of course has already begun.

I agree with you they're not stupid. Fear of death is not a factor with Shia fighters. They have that martyrdom thing going on. There are still posters of Iranian troops martyred in the Iran-Iraq war around the place there. I think they're smarter than to seek martyrdom just to prove a point though. Their national dignity just took a huge hit & they are a proud people. This makes it necessary for the leadership to act unless they want domestic political problems.
It's a weird one because they need to do something symbolic but at the same time acceptable to the egomaniac in the whitehouse.
I think a lot rides on Iraq's emergency parliament meeting to decide whether US troops can legally stay in Iraq. If not, it could be a case of harrassing them in Iraq in deniable attacks. The meeting is today or tomorrow. There are no doubt all sorts of negotiations going on across the region to decide where things go from here re: US presence.

The USA did a calculated strike. They weight the pros and cons and decided that bombing the shit out of that fucker was the best decision.
What they did wrong was that it was unjust. They should have had a live trail and present all the evidence then condemn him to death and if and only if the Iranians refused to give them that pice of shit Suleishit up then and only then they would have been in the right to perform a precission strike.
They bassically circumvented justice and made a political decision that is gonna result in some poor innocent Americans getting bombed in some way or another .
