I am baffled how there hasn't been major public pressure to shut this shit down. Protest? Absolutely that is your right (should always be). But you don't have the right to shut up others. They also only protest 'safe subjects' in or around safe places/countries. I haven't heard anything about the Antifa movement in Africa for example. You know, countries where if the locals 'think' you could be gay, your life could be in danger. Skinny queer quasi anarchists, the lot of em. Except for the overweight ones of course.

I think they use anonymity to avoid prosecution & surveillance. They also are leaderless for a similar reason. It's kind of a response to how the feds would otherwise track & infiltrate them.

In Portland, the mayor is also the police commisioner. The mayor is aligned politically with Antifa, and has ordered the police not to interfere with Antifa. I'd also guess that much of the citizenry of Portland is also politically aligned with Antifa, so what do they care? To them, they're just fighting the natzies.
This same scenario can probably be applied to every leftist shithole they operate in. You don't hear about them starting their bullshit up in more heavily armed, conservative areas.
