Castlevania 4 had the BEST music of any game series! (just my opinion) ..i was just about to just close it and find another vid to watch but the solo kicked in..which has so much heart that you can feel the love he has for this game..to create an original solo for something he will never see a dollar from. give this dude some love and likes on his youtube, he isnt gettin much love yet

I beg to differ, powerglove's version is most aweome. Castlevania 2&3 mix.

...very excellent!!! ...Castlevania series all had their signature songs.. (CV2 & Bloody Tears would top them all!) but again, (and only my opinion) it's still no match for the Castlevania 4 soundtrack as a whole ;) , on the SNES you could even go to the options screen and just listen to the BGM for every level without having to play the game! ..i whole heartedly agree on your '2&3' mix is completely awesome!, but the ENTIRE CV4 song library is the SOUL of the Castlevania series that has been lost since

4/5 - loses one point because we always had trouble getting this fucker to load. One of the cassette tapes was bad I think :)

cassette tapes?? wth? ..if there were soundtrack cassette tapes, believe u me i would have it!

Cassette tapes were used instead of diskettes on some platforms like Commodore 64 to store & load games. They were a real bitch but made playing games a bit more fun because it was such a hard slog to get it to load. 5-10 minutes to load a game, switching tapes as it goes sometimes etc haha. To copy a game you do it exactly like dubbing a cassette tape (and cross your fingers).

WOW! im slightly familiar with Commodore 64, but had absolutely no idea it went that deep! i have fond memories of putting paper-wads into the tops of cassettes to record over them (my first real life-hack!) now im kinda curious about this 'games from cassettes' thing ..imma go look into it. thanks

What system did you play it on for it to have cassette tapes?

I love all these covers of old video game themes that people are putting on youtube. I think my favourite track from castlevania 4 was the chandelier one, but unfortunately it rarely seems to get covered.

not many covers of this one probably because it is pretty complex.you would need an orchestra to get it right...like the one you shared. thanks! i love it!
