Your, and not surprisingly, the media's selective focus on specific timeframes are clear indicators of playing Captain Hindsight.
You love to cover how Trump responded to the initial reports of the Corona virus when they first appeared, and specify those dates. You never specify the time of this memo appearing which allegedly warned Trump's administration that the situation would grow into a worldwide pandemic. But this memo came up around the same time he placed the travel ban on China. Despite the fact that he denies having read it, he still did it.
You are blaming a man for responding to the Corona-virus in exactly the same way everyone else initially did.
You are yelling "shame" at a man you already deem incompetent, because he does not hold the supernatural foresight able to predict the outcome of a new and mostly unknown virus spreading, that the leaders of the origin country initially lied about to everyone, including organisations focused on disease control.
The clips of him saying that nothing is going to happen, everything will be okay, can be reproduced for every single leader on the planet. Some are still going on. Even the WHO told people to go outside to restaurants and enjoy time with friends and family, for several days straight. And the US government funds the WHO, who in turn advise them and the President on how to respond to virus outbreaks.
But he did block China when it became apparent that this was in fact a global threat. Despite the media you listen to trying to paint him attempting to do it out of racism, and the WHO saying it was not necessary.
Using these clips just proves that the media are selective in order to paint him bad, which in turn misinforms you and many others to not trust anything the government says, despite the fact that they are some of the first to actually take preventive action on a large scale in order to prevent the virus spreading despite the huge impact on the economy.
If Trump did not care about people he would not stop travel or businesses. He would do what you had expected him to do to keep the economy going well and secure his re-election.
The fact that he did that one thing, means that the media are now contradicting themselves. And have to resolve to selectively focusing on what he said then(when no-one knew or took this seriously) and they have to hide what actions he really is taking in this moment(like saying loudly that black people are more affected by the virus and they are investigating it).
He was the one who said masks were missing. Media accused him of making up conspiracy theories.
Whoop de fucking doo, people had been stealing and stockpiling masks in the millions in order to take advantage of the pandemic and price gouge to sell it back to hospitals and medical workers who needs it.
If Trump comes out and says they found a cure tomorrow, are you going to not take it or give it to your family it out of political spite?

That's ten coughs or ten sneezes or ten handshakes. All of which could happen in a day. Symptoms may not even appear for 5-7 days. That is a long time people can infect others in crowded areas at an exponential rate.
