I don't think he meant it in this way, he just ran his mouth before thinking as he always does. That powertripping fit he had with the next reporter after that however was absolute cringe.

I must say I have to agree his brainless, shoot from the hip china remark were not aimed at the reporter. He is just desperately trying to find a culprit other than the person in charge.
My suspicion with the 2nd reporter is he realized too late that he pointed out the wrong girl (probably confused this lady with the one from OAN).
He really should have someone competent run the press conferences but that would be less entertaining to us.

why does he even bother with these sessions? just leave most of the daily summaries to the health whatever task force. show up to the ones where there are big announcements, like a change in policy.
