Apparently you don't understand that the vaccines are intended to erradicate the virus and thus make vaccination unnecessary in the future*. Also the vaccine in case of mutations will only need adaptation rather than change, similar to the flu vaccine. Oh, and we can't compare covid to the flu.
* So big pharma will actually most likely not be the "huge benefactor" of the vaccines as some suspect. They will probably make a (good) profit -and why not- but in most countries the vaccine will be free of charge to the individual.
