yup. he might have had a point that generally fascists are far-left, but he brought in completely unfounded and unsourced opinion and presented it as fact to support his claims.
his claim that "fascism is a form of socialism" is demonstrably false, as you've shown with all your links.

Fascism is by definition the far right (the left counterpart is called communism), the alt right just wants to push the definition soas to push their agenda of "their nationalism and patriotism" being different to that of fascists, i.e. smear a lot of lipstick on the pig to make it look presentable. This is a global strategy of all the "new" nationalist parties cropping up everywhere around the western world.
Of course there are similarities of how communist and fascist "governments" handle shit but still they must not be confused. BTW if a "leader" or "government" claims they are communist whilst amassing enormous wealth for themselves and their peers, they actually are not.

No that is not quite the claim. My claim is that fascism is valuing the group ABOVE the individual. And That fascists have rebranded it as collectivism and have operated under mostly left policies to encourage people to give up their individual rights for the benefit of others and to the detriment of the individual.
Right wing policies are good for fear responses, and appealing to national pride to get people to surrender individual rights in times of crises real or imagined.
Left wing policies are good at guilting people into believing they are selfish and giving up their individual right to appease society or politcally relevant movements/groups.
Also, Time, Merriam Webster, and Brittanica are notoriously left wing material. The left would never wanted to be associated with that term because of it's implications.
When victim mentalities pool into a collective that is a breeding ground for fascism. Victims don't feel like the deserve certain rights and freedoms. They associate these activities with guilt, shame, disgust, fear, and harm. Because they feel this way, they don't like others enjoying these rights.
What's the answer? Take them away. Then no more unsightly things.
TLDR. Fascism can operate in the left or the right. Antifa are the extreme left example of this. Nazi's are the extreme right example of this.
2nd source. We now have disputed claims.
