A few weeks ago my 6 yr old asked me about slavery and what it was and I went into human history and how humans have enslaved other humans since the dawn of man, in chimed her mother sticking to the American White v Black egocentric veiw on slavery, saying it was racism etc... Being she is a elementary teacher, this comment I saw on the video is perfect: “Don’t let schooling interfere with your education.” - Mark Twain
She went to India for a couple months on a Rotary Exchange program and told me about how these wealthy families she stayed with had "workers" sleeping on their kitchen floor and she was even offered a young boy to take home, yet she still does not understand THAT is slavery!
