Ever have your phone die when its really cold. See the problem?
Cant be too hot or too cold. Only a small portion of people live in the sweet spot for electric cars.

Never heard of it, unless your talking about phones 20 years ago? Living in a cold hellish ice landscape with the largest proliferation of electric cars per person in the world.... doing just fine. For sure not in the sweet spot, but it works just fine.

So you have let your phone get below -17 c for and hour or so and have never seen your battery go from fully charged to drained? Weird because it seem to happen to me alot when I forget my phone on the outside pocket of my coat. Some electric cars, like Tesla do have heaters around their battery banks, but that would drain the battery of left too cold for too long, unplugged.

If i leave a car at 80% charge in cold weather, i can come back 2 weeks later and the battery is still @ 80 So it dosen't lose charge due to the cold.
Clip you pointed to is very common knowledge.. espesially when you live in freezing conditions for most of the year :P
FYI i didn't down vote you! i did now though for being lame
