leaving while any mandates are still up is defeat. they said they weren't going to leave until they're dropped, anything less is failure

it will go on longer, they still have the right to protest, its just going to be somewhere else since mask mandates still stand, business' can still ask for vax proof, trudeau's still the prime minister and his international travel mandate still stands. honestly, if things get bad in a month at the hospitals, anything that was lifted is coming right back, we already have the infrastructure for it, hosptital aren't going to start renovating the covid rooms back into what they were before
with the new interim cheif that would have only taken the job only if he was willing to do something, the rcmp and opp running the show, that they can be arrested any point. i think they'll be given a few days to organise a plan on where they're going to move the ram ranch, probably cleared out by monday. manitoba's bridge blockade is clearing out tommorow. so people might bitch about it trudeau, but people are getting the idea. trucker chat went from "hold the line" to "make your own decision". they fucked around, whoever stays, finds out

The wokeists don't deal well with loss. Give them a means to craft a "we didn't lose" narrative for their hyper-reality. Pat them on the head and encourage them to start a church.

Will they be burning this Laporte fellow in effigy later tonight? In lieu of the Ottawa police chief, who resigned, I mean.

Be nice. It's: you (initially)set some clearly-defined goals. Now that you've had an impact politically as well as on mandates (I believe the first one and the second one only as pertains to Doug Ford's Ontario), time to pack up and go home. Preferably before someone gets seriously hurt.
That's not to say local residents weren't an injured party here; this includes the guy who steals flags from little girls and breaks his own ankle apparently. We'll know in time what 3 weeks of sleep deprivation did to the folks living in the surrounding area. From fender benders to missed work to emotional distress. Lawsuits incoming.

Nope. It's over when the road map for every province has been ACHIEVED. Not promised.
Things are just getting good, why would we leave before the movie is over?
They should ban the use of emergency powers too. It is evident that they will inevitably be abused whenever government sets pretext to do so.
Those that are "suffering" Pressure government to drop the mandates. That's the only way.

Yup. They have been relentless in swallowing up all other unions.
Kind of sounds like a monopoly to me. Among other things.
