How he conducted the interview is quite normal in NZ - journos are expected to apply some pressure on the politicians, asking the questions the public wants to an answer to but also give them a chance to respond. If they try dancing around the question the journo should press harder & expose the obviously deceptive shit.

I respect bthat but we'll have to agree that it's 6 of one and half a dozen of the other in this case. Definitely angling for a flashy quote, also.
I also like the 6min mark where she gives 3 reasons why the mandates work. Kind of like Caesar's rule of 3 when making a point, it's been long established that this helps establish a straight line of reason.. for most folks.

When a minister of the crown refers to some of the consituents as 'a river or filth' and the like , it is very telling how the leader of that party stands in thier support or condemnation.
Jacinda obviously thinks alike to her subordinate minister, otherrwise she would have said so.

I'm not familiar with the river of filth comment so I didn't want to speak to it. If its equivalent to Hillary's 'basket of deplorables' comment (let's say it is for argument's sake) I'd point out here that: 1. we don't know what the power dynamic is in her cabinet and whether she's somehow beholden to the minister in question or the like-minded demographic for the next election, 2. we don't know if she herself agrees with that statement, and 3. she's not the one that made the statement. So doing the quick political calculation she may have decided skirting this question from an otherwise polite reporter who wants her on the show again in future is the way to go. Simply not a hill worth dying on I guess.

he's fairly senior & is the minister of transport
even if he was junior I dunno that she'd condemn someone from her own party, even though I think his comment was out of line - it could feed into the opposition's attempts to fracture their party
he said it on 17th Feb, I'm not sure why, I think he hates the protesters ... but the night before this interview with her the cops put up concrete baracades to quarden off the parked vehicles the protesters are refusing to move.... there were scuffles & one of the protesters threw literal shit at the cops, some other cops were injured. It's not really the time to be defending them against being called filthy because some of their ideas are fukt, they've been really rude to the politicians with their language & their behaviour last night was filthy.
I think the journalist making her eat a bit of shit for Micheal Wood using that shitty language in parliament is about enough of a kick up the bum. She doesn't needa defend it because she didn't say it.

And here in Canada they're still parading greatful, mask-wearing, downtown Ottawa residents in front of the camera saying how happy they are to have their streets back, just in time for the first long weekend since New Years. I mean it's great that history record for posterity that most of the nation got turned off to the protest after it turned into an occupation, but watching these folks paraded in front of the camera some of us are like..ok/great, happy for you,.. but why are you still wearing a mask outside in -10C weather.. but whatever.

mRNA vaccines have been the holy grail for the last 30yrs. An answer to all those horrible preservatives the vaccine hesitant were complaining about. That an overwhelming majority agreed to take them here in Canada is documented history. No one will be guards in the end. Nearly everyone will be taken to the camps. The only question is in which order.
The dissidents provide resistance, and protection.
Those unaware of how much danger we are really in will be herded before they become aware of this betrayal and in fact become the most embittered enemies.

Everyone gets their just rewards so to speak. Dissidents will be rewarded with death, freedom from this world, and a chance at stopping it.

This whole movement was about exposing the enemy, exposing how far they will go to keep control, exposing how they will pretend to listen, and then clamp down further control of your life in other areas, and to show free people they are not alone. This is a rallying phase.
The wisest thing gov can do is drop their plans for control completely, ideally resign, and walk away. Let better people take up the reigns and heal our country based on respecting different people's views and choices.
