i'm getting to point where i'm kinda hoping a russian fired shell or missile accidentally lands in a nato country. it would be a reason for war but it wouldnt be war right away. nato would try to talk to russia first but nato would be going into ukraine

Your dreams could be easily accomplished by a Nato country firing at itself and blaming Russia.
Even more economical and believable enough, blow something up with C4, cry Russia, and watch the story reach act 2.
Most likely though will be some kind of cyber attack on infrastructure by the elites, Russia will be blamed, and WWIII becomes official not long after.
