Based on looking at Ethan's history from what I can tell this site shit all over him very cynically when he was here. He was ridiculed as someone who was quite daft to think they would ever go anywhere. In the past grumpy contrarians in this site's membership have often been the site's worst enemy. On the one hand there are complaints about lack of expansion and participation, but the site's history shows a clear attitutde of pushing new users away. I think it would have been cool had Ethan stuck around and returned from time to time.
