So if that's true... The women were in agreement with the act 'cause they liked him. Then later they didn't like him anymore and now he's a horrible monster? Right. Fuck humanity.

"Hey there, buddy! Welcome to your dream job, you finally made it! Now even though you've made it I would highly recommend not pissing off the higher ups. Even though you made it you're still going to have to kiss a little ass to get ahead in this business.
That being said, I have a serious question for you and I hope you're okay with that. I'm asking you if it would be okay for me to jerk off in front of you. Understand that you're freely allowed to say no and that is within your right and I want you to be comfortable with everything that happens here. But I also want you to understand that I'm one of those higher ups and I would like to remind you that just a few seconds ago I highly recommended not pissing off said higher ups...
...so...
...what do you say?"
So you'd be completely okay with the above scenario happened to you? And when you said, "no, I don't want you to jerk off right in front of me" you'd be completely within your right...but you'd find yourself not going as far as you thought you were going. I wonder what happened to stopper your progress?

My understanding is this all took place before he really took off. He was still just making radio appearances. No tv show, no late night, no movies. In that case, how much power did he really have? Also, how is it fair to get consent for something, then still get punished because you weren't sufficiently underprivileged? Do these grown women not have to take some responsibility for their own choices?

If I don't like it then I'd a) vacate the premise and call the cops b) do a citizens arrest or c) kick the fucker in the nuts. 'Cause that shit is illegal and disgusting. But I'm a man and honestly if it was a woman asking me to watch her slichk one off I personally wouldn't mind, might be slightly discusted depending on the looks and such. Not really sure that matters since despite equality we're not the same, men and women. Not do we like the same things even within the sexes.
The thing with consent, once given it can't be taken back. Nobody is a mindreader, nobody knows the future so blaming the other party for a personal mistake after the fact is just... lousy. Which is why I'm thinking the sorta apology from C.K isn't really sincere. Because surely nobody would blame the person that received consent if the other party changed their mind after the fact? That'd mean that if suddenly I decided that some sexual partner of my past wronged me even though it was fully consensual I could still just, I dunno, sue them? That's silly.

Do a citizen's arrest and call the police? Remember, he's politely asking you if you would be okay with it and you are fully within your rights to decline and be disgusted. The only thing you need to worry about is that you may not be chosen for particular roles if you're not hip to it. Where is the issue here?

Oh yeah, what he has done isn't even illegal in the US is it? Here in Finland it's 'any kind of unwanted sexually charged interaction' that's illegal. Makes flirting a hazard, though luckily the law is fresh enough that no cases have appeared.
Hopefully this is an overreach of some type or a bad attempt at publicity by a dark-ish man. Maybe we're way beyond the slippery slope. Maybe any type of interaction between the sexes will become riddled with legal pitfalls over the next decades as facts may change after the fact and all interactions have to be not only filmed but all other types of bodily functions like release of stress hormones and such must be monitored during any interaction lest something untowards is claimed afterwards.
Beyond that, I've no clue about the issue here or what it even is. Well.... maybe all five women in question are glory hogs and this is a publicity attempt on their part? Sorta like that one whatever rights group that smeared swastikas with shit on their dorm or whatever to prove they were threatened. *shrug* Truly, it baffles me.

'We have to be aware of.... the unintended consequences'. What? How can you be aware of the results pre-action? You're just magically supposed to know everything and every possible result? What?
Fuck that.

absolutely agree. and how can a person possibly be aware of unintended consequences in the first place? the only way to avoid that is to never say anything.
