So, as a Native American who's ancestors were uprooted and moved out west at the barrel of a gun.  What are your thoughts on the right to keep and bear arms?

surely you're not suggesting that if the native americans had been better armed, the army would've had to leave them alone and they'd still have their land?

I'm sorry, did you think that question was addressed to you?  It was not.  It was addressed to BabyDuckling.

And you're still not BabyDuckling.  I am simply not interested in spending my time destroying you on this issue.  I was curious what HE thought, and will continue to hope he responds.

Full auto. Maybe I can give you some perspective because, frankly, if you knew any native people you wouldn't have asked a moot question.

The right to bare arms doesn't app!y to native rational. They don't care for white laws in general. Some do I imagine but the core ideal of native people is they make their laws amoungst their own council and do not here ours. At all. That's why there are rez cops. That's why there are trans border territories that neither Canadian or American authority are welcome to impose laws the bands don't recognize. Such as the right to bare arms. In their communities, rather in most, their rights are not defined by federal law. They are defined by inter-band alliance council that make mutual decision for the different nations. Asking an Indian "what do you think about our laws" is pretty ill informed. I have lived on a reservation. Pic mobert first Nations. I know from the Pacific to the Atlantic many natives and "Indians" and I believe I can speak their language as I know it to be. I'm pretty sure the answer is "fuck your laws" or your perception of their "rights" just saying.

Edit

I'd like to clarify about rez cops. If you think for a second a white cop can bring a firearm onto Indian Land and assert federal authority without backlash you are mistaken in every case. Indian cops won't have entire neighborhoods collectively fuck you. Maybe we have more natives up here in Canada willing to blockade. Maybe not. But one thing I know.... Indian warriors don't got a permit. And they don't care are permits. Their permission to defend their land comes from a different government and it ain't the charter of rights or the American Constitution. To clarify. I hope he does respond and maybe set me a bit more straight as I do not share his experience as he has but I sure as shit know enough about native ideology that I can confidently comment. Hope that helps?
