This is the problem with a 2 party arrangement.

In european countries scum like this obviously exists as well but they are tucked away in extremist parties that sometimes even get significant votes when people are disgruntled enough.

No self respecting conservative european party would put people like her or trump in any position of power it is also not so much of a custom here to have celebrities from film or TV going into political carreers.

This is one of the reasons I think europeans struggle with understanding what happens across the pond, another would be the focus on religion. Here (yes, even in a catholic country like spain) we don't really care whether our politicians are religious or atheists. This is probably why many here think the US is somewhat "backwards"....
