it would make a good movie, but can you imagine hollywood signing off on a plot where a woman utterly fails and gets everybody killed?

They did Joan of Arc. Boudica had a number of impressive victories before the final battle portrayed here. She made a critical error in meeting the Romans head on in large-scale open warfare - she thought sheer numbers would decide the outcome. A lot of Roman Empire rebels made that mistake.
