Agree. But sadly this has more to do with the Islamic doctrine of taking back any lands you were pushed out of. Even if these lands were taken back by the original occupants after having been invaded. Truly sad.
In response to what you say, exactly this is why in Greece we like France's Macron. The guy is actually stepping up as a European leader, if there is such a thing. The last time we had an incident, 2 summers ago when a Turkish frigate side swiped a Greek corvette, causing more significant damage to itself in the process, Macron was shocked at the lack of a statement from the European commission. He's quoted as saying: 'Once again Europe opens her mouth..and yawns'.
