it was an atgm. mortar round wouldnt be direct and they wouldn't stick around if it was a tank. javelins can lock onto people. i don't think its a waste because they don't know if they'll be alive tomorrow, they may not know what they'll run into but they know that they can always get more

Might be the New/Old Bonus shell..... javelin is a bit of a waste though, but then again so is hellfire rockets against soft targets in Iraq/Iran and they vent apeshit with that one like it was going out of style!.
Javelin delivery time from a quick search is 32 months ( 6,480 javelins) ...... ouch! Still .... can prolly ramp that to war levels if needed, who takes that bill though?

you don't get what i'm saying. i'll paint a picture with us so its easier to understand
i'm ukraine, you're russia. i got 8500 javelin missiles and you know what. i'm not carrying them on my back everywhere i go. so. i find you. i go to you with 2 or 3 of them. i shoot at you. i leave and re-equip. i have no reason to lug around 2 or 3 javelins and not use them. your position is static, mine is dynamic

ok fine relax..... as for the condescending picture you panted, cheers you already explained it sufficiently! Once, that's the perfect amount.... Do you somehow have some intel the rest of the world is not privy to? To know exactly what is going on in those frames, how many manpads Ukraine's got or their doctrine for use at any given moment.
Haven't heard much talk about needing more manpads, you're probably right. And that's fucking fine, you insufferable... ......

i wouldnt say i have intel nobody else does, i'd just say i put more thought into what i see then most
if you bring a vehicle close to the enemy. you'll probably be seen. if you got to walk a bit from the vehicle. you're probably not looking to carry them back. if you engage with bullets. you'll get bullets and possibly artillery in return. if you die before you use them, you loose them. all those rockets came from the bottom right even though that last one looks like its coming from the top left. javelins weight 50lbs. carrying two of them isn't that big of a deal. no snow on the ground means its not recent. the whole doctrine right now is staying alive while trying to kill the enemy. you don't here much about needing manpads because russia's not using vehicles like they were
