According to this guy a year ago, the war would have been over by now.

nah, the closest he came to predicting a Russian outright victory was saying if the Russians capture Krivvi Rih it could be game over for Ukraine. That was about 11 months in about the 2nd video he put out about the conflict, at the height of Russian advances. He also said as long as Ukraine holds Mikolaiv that it couldn't happen, and Ukraine did manage to hold it. He's called it quite accurately since the start & doesn't make a habit of predicting things that aren't reasonable.
In the video posted above he doesn't even say Bakhmut is going to fall, just that Ukraine is hanging on by a thread, which they are.
