he stayed in an area that was retaken by ukraine. now that he's looking at 5-8 years if found guilty which he's probably going to be cause nobodies going to give a fuck how bad he gets railroaded. he risked staying over leaving for russian territory. he's probably thinking "atleast i'm not in russia"
