This documentary shows the Deep Submergence Rescue Vehicle, a type of mini-submarine that was to be used to rescue trapped sailors from sunken submarines by the US Navy from 1970 to 2008. Fortunately, they were never required to be used. It has since been replaced by a remotely operated rescue vehicle.
