sometimes i think about the difference in video quality and audio quality over time. we capture video in a higher quality format than we can play it back, we can make old video look like it was recorded yesterday. but our audio is kind of stuck in time. the quality music's recorded in is pretty much the quality it's going to be played in from that point out, remastered or re-recorded music usually doesn't replace the original
