Walking on a shallow frozen pond and hearing the strange sounds of the ice cracking. The water is about a metre deep at the deep parts, so I wasn't risking life & limb doing that. The pond is on Panama Flats, Saanich (Victoria), Vancouver Island, British Columbia, Canada.
