This guy is reporting on how Facebook discovered, through trial and error, the proper way of feeding balanced information to the public, and is also exposing an incredibly fake mainstream news story, and people are downrating it.

Don't know man.  I've come to realize people vote based on the submitter and not the content.  I can upvote things posted by people I don't like (correction: people who's apparent views I don't agree with) if its worth watching.

I don't know either, but I suspect that with Tim Pool it's the five people here who downrate anything that challenges the political establishment or the media establishment. Doesn't matter what the vid is about - they don't watch it. They just feel duty-bound, for whatever reason, to censor it in support of the now thoroughly discredited establishment propaganda structure. The real question is what motivates them.

i think it's a bit deeper than that. they are voting for content, but the reason they agree with the content is based on the submitter in the first place. it's kind of an attachment bias. the same thing happens with political affiliation, where if you identify yourself as a liberal (for argument's sake, could be any party) then whatever policies the liberals are putting forward are naturally the most sensible. people do the same thing with music too, they can't just love a song, they love a band, and then by association love everything else connected to it in any way, from clothing right on to social philosophy.

It got a 5 from me, man. I never vote on how I feel about a user. If I did I would leave SpikedNation forever.
