They probably did it on purpose to create this controversy. SJW & Anti-SJWs will jump on anything.

I was at 3/5 for a while on this...then it got to about 4:30 where he cringingly mocked their apology. He then asks, "did it work?" and immediately answered his own question with "no". Well, what the fuck would you recommend? That they DON'T apologize and double down? There's a goddamn reason he doesn't work in PR because that would be fucking suicide; as it is right now people are already forgetting about this small gaffe. Then he goes on to quote the Indepedent about how the child was probably elated to simply be in the ad and his parents were proud and all this bullshit...but at the end of it all you can destroy his argument by asking this: "would YOU, Sargon of Akkad, have reviewed this image and then put your stamp of approval upon it and sent it out to be apart of a marketing campaign?" The answer, of fucking course, is no because it's laughably in bad taste and bound to piss someone off. Anyone who says they would indeed put their stamp of approval on it is putting on a brave face behind their computer
Something else that irked me about this video is his intellectual dishonesty. Is there REALLY anyone out there calling this "white supremacy"? Instead of asking that question without researching it, I decided to research it and it turns out there is ONE source referring to it as "white supremacy"...but only kind of: "First, let’s look at the definition of a white supremacist. According to Merriam-Webster, a white supremacist is “a person who believes that the white race is inherently superior to other races and that white people should have control over people of other races.” Therefore, anyone who worked at H&M and thought that the print on the hoodie “coolest monkey in the jungle” in conjunction with a black child was OK is a product of the white supremacist system." So they make a leap from "they're white supremacists" to "is a product of the white supremacist system." So out of the tons of outrage over this gaffe Sargon is making it sound like many of those who are outraged are calling H&M white supremacists...when I can only find ONE source doing so (I'll also note here that Sargon doesn't provide his source, he simply creates a strawman).
Something else to note is that Sargon is basically saying this should have been no big deal, but then around the 11:00 minute mark he shows idiots violently attacking stores in other parts of the world. Is there a "Left" in South Africa? Is there a Left in Sweden? Are these the same "Lefts" as in the United States? Is the Left a unified front all across the world? He sure seems to believe so as in one breath he criticizes the protestors in South Africa and then refers to Rachel Dolezal as though they're one homogenous unit. And he did all of this AFTER he stated that many Leftist media groups weren't really sure how to respond to this event.
At the end of the fuckin' day it's probably okay to tell a white guy he's acting like a monkey. It's probably a bad idea to tell a black guy he's acting like a monkey. But, please, I invite you to leave reality and try to tell me otherwise.

To your first question
Simply state the facts,"Alot of kids took pictures with this hoodie and he was the coolest looking one. Thank you and have a good day"
The thing you seem to miss in your evalution of a possible PR suicide senario is, they doubled the damage by surrendering to the sjw's. Now Anti-SJW's hate them for following the anti-negro-simian association law that was passed a few years ago...

Yep - the number # rule with the sick ideology of cultural marxism is to NEVER, under any circumstances, apologize to a cultural marxist SJW virtue-signaler. Apologies are not viewed as polite bridge-making - apologies are exploited and framed as "an admission of guilt" and the attackers then double-down and triple-down with "Look he/she admits it. They admit it!"
The only thing you should apologize for to these people is to say you're sorry that they are malevolent traitors to their follow man and/or mentally ill.
