Actors read some statistics about men and women when it comes to income, education, homicide, suicide, and more. The reactions are priceless.

the one with the red shirt is a great example of the intellectual dishonesty that has caused all the anger. instead of taking the new facts and adding them to knowledge she already has and then arriving at a conclusion, she's upset that she has been presented with information that runs contrary to what she wants to be true.

You and your big words....have my upvote. The younger black woman on the contrary seems genuinely surprised . You can see the geers turning as she processes the info. I think they may have saved her (just in time). ;-)

Anyone done some fact finding on this shit? From what I have heard, everything points to what this video says, and they take gross average figures and don't parse out relevant subsets. I can't say I've done any legit research though. I had a girl lose her shit on me for showing her this.

The one about single/childless women making 117% of what men do had me confused. But sure enough, taking away the noise on both sides and leaving only those individuals who are single by choice, you will be left with a lot more 'alpha' females (in the business sense), who would have consciously chosen career over family. This, of course, will be for higher end and more rewarding jobs, hence the higher salaries .

Facts (like the ones mentioned in the clip) don't matter when you 'feel' reality. Equality of the genders 4 teh win. Instead of this 3rd gen feminism crap that basically states women are less than men that need special protections and boosts to be able to stand as equals to men.

When you encounter 1 like that, suggest they read Harrison Bergeron. Of course to them it will probably seem a Utopia...
Kurt Vonnegut should be required reading from grade 6-12.

They probably would see it as a utopia.
Vonnegut is definately one that should be read in school, a few other authors as well. But the schools seem to be struggling with the basics like teaching people to read so... Maybe one day.
