I think people just want to trade the truth for a lie, because it feels better, and alleviates them of responsibility.
Basically having a left mindset right now is the comfortable thing to do. Especially in Canada.
When I speak up for Trump for example. Out in PUBLIC. It's funny to see how passionate Trump bashers become dumbfounded and then start changing their tune when I point out the good he is doing.
It tells me that people feel comfortable bashing the lefts opposition because it feels "safe" and it an easy way to make a statement without being challenged, which as a side effect. Elevates ones percieved social status.
However, once that social status is threatened. Most are not willing stand up for their points. OR, they didn't actually think about the issues they are discussing sufficiently to build a more solid case.
I think the real narrative is about people that take responsibility for where they are in their lives, vs those who want to blame others for where they are in their lives.

It's not weird at all. Republicans aren't doing much to help their cause (i.e. religious freedom/representation in the host country) so they vote democrat. Old story. The enemy of my enemy is my friend.

Islam does not promote freedom of religion. In nations under the Law of Islam Other faiths are taxed twice as heavily as Muslims.
Athiests, non comformists, and gays are also sought out and slaughtered.
Not playing the religious game is not an option within Islam.
At least in other religions. They look at it as believe or not. It's your soul on the line.
Islam punishes non believers once they have control of the legal system of a chosen nation, and not a moment before. If they acted up as a collective, it would blow the whistle to their plan. So they work slowly and incrementally.
Those that commit attacks too early (Like the ones we have been seeing.) Are simply impatient or stupid.
Islams answer? Discredit them, and state publicly that Islam does not support them. Yet they do not conduct witch hunts of their own to root out the so called "Bad apples."
