strikes me as a horseshit argument... if they're pure protesters then they don't need to "receive resources from ngos", and the woman was clearly paid before she got arrested, meaning she was given incentive. this is clear influence, maybe she wouldn't have cared enough to protest without the cash.

Receiving money simply for existing comes very naturally to those folks. I doubt they even give it a second thought.
