BREXIT major breakthrough

So as I understand it Brexit is happening no matter what sort of "deal" happens or doesn't happen.  Well that's reassuring.  I see that currently the entire Western European mass media are in lock step with the EU politicians in trying to convince everyone that Armageddon will arrive the day after Britain is no longer a member.

I'm looking forward to the false prophets of the EU having egg on their face when nothing they say actually happens, meanwhile Britain will regain its rightful sovereignty.

"So as I understand it Brexit is happening no matter what sort of "deal" happens or doesn't happen."

This is not clear. There may or may not be a final refewrendum over the "deal or no deal" situation.

"I see that currently the entire Western European mass media are in lock step with the EU politicians in trying to convince everyone that Armageddon will arrive the day after Britain is no longer a member."

I don't know what you are reading or watching but this is not the case at all. Of course it is in the press and there is misinformation on both sides, although the pro brexit bunch is far ahead on this.

"I'm looking forward to the false prophets of the EU having egg on their face when nothing they say actually happens, meanwhile Britain will regain its rightful sovereignty."

Nobody can predict the future, although and "undisturbed" future is predicted more reliably than turmoil. May's new move towards making Britain a tax h(e)aven for foreign investors looks extremely desperate and does not inspire confidence at all. Ireland tried this and did not get very far and that was within the EU.

Lastly:

Like it or not, Britain, like any other member of the EU are sovreign countries. Regulations had to be put in place to facilitate trade standards and relationships so everybody is singing from the same hymn sheet. Whoever says something else does not understand what the exit negotiations are about and why they are pretty much stuck.

Nobody forced the UK to be part of the EU and they may leave at any time (within the agreed timescale), the problem is that they want to leave AND keep most of the benefits without any responsibility, like having the cake and eat it.

There is a reason why cowards like farage and johnson left the mess to be sorted by others after the referendum and boris now slowly creeps back as he sees the mission failing. Not to save the day (and the brexit), mind you, but to politically benefit from the mess he created.

This is the UK's worst economic decision so far, noone will buy from them, just internet sales alone... without a free trade agreement with the EU almost all foreighn purchases will just stop, this will financialy be a major economic disaster, the British Pound has lost almost one third of its value since the announced brexit, how is it gona get better when they acctualy break away?

This is how it is going to go, Brexit happens, and soon they will be back a member of the EU

-Against the EURO it lost one third, there is proof

-I wont buy and pay import tax unless i realy need something, thats a few hundred a year from me alone that will not go to GB, i am sure that there are others who think the same.

-And they will come back to the EU, just the way and how inexperienced the entire thing was set up including what i mentioned above, they have no other choice

Edit: i clicked the link, now i realise you where sarcastic

I still believe there is agood chance the brexit won't happen at all. The UK leaving and then coming back would be more disruptive than them staying and it would give them less power as a then "new" member.

As i heard it they cant stay, they have to leave first to then come back.

The vote is absolute...

Of course. What matters most on the EU's side is to prevent this type of situation from ever happening again in the future. The EU doesn't want other countries to follow so it must hurt, there must be consequences.

There are many reasons for why the vote for BREXIT won but the main one was misinformation and pipe dreams. As was mentioned a case was presented where leaving was going to be heaven because it included most things that now are stopping the negotiations from going forward like free trade and no borders.

In the end the UK is quite a strong union and has the means to pull this off. What is unclear is if it will benefit from the situation at all. This does feel at the moment like a lose-lose situation. They will be worse off and so will the EU.

Uniting and rowing in the same direction will always be the best solution but with so many traditions and separate mindsets this will always be difficult to achieve.

Just imagine a few states from the EUA deciding to leave the union and forming their own countries. What a mess it would be.
