He has a lot of pretty good informative videos if you are interested in panning for gold. A friend of mine up in Alaska pans every day on the coast, makes enough to live off of. In my home state of New York, the state owns all mineral rights to any gold found within NY, they basically outlawed it over 100 years ago and they never changed the law. Being that no company or individual is allowed to mine for gold, no one ever looked and/or ever reported their findings. There are some deposits from the glaciers that brought gold south from Canada, but it is not in high enough concentrations to make it worthwhile. There might be undiscovered deposits, at this point there is no way of telling. I got a lot of friends that travel the country searching for gems but not too many that pan for gold. I am hoping to pan myself someday. So in the meantime, I watch these videos and learn how to. Some pretty good finds once in a while.
